It's not what's happening to you now or what happened to you in the past that determines who you become. Rather it's your decisions about what to focus on, what things mean to you, and what you're going to do about them that will determine your ultimate destiny.

Barb, Where do you get your "thoughts for the day" from?
Today's thought is in line with a lot of the things that Stephen Covey talks about in his work. It's what you do with each moment that makes up your time that decides who you are and what you can become I think.
Thanks for sharing the ideas encompassed in your thoughts and for visiting my blog too!
Cheers
Celia
Celia, I enjoy your blog and will be checking it daily!
As for the thought for the day...I just check around on the internet until I read something that touches and speaks to me.
I don't know Stephen Covey. Where can I find his work. Is some on the internet? Has he written books? I guess I have had my head in the sand!! LOL
Thanks for coming back to my blog. Appreciate chatting with you!
Barb,
Steven Covey wrote The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People and has a range of books.
It may seem to be a self management time management thing but reading between the lines he has really philosophical things to say.
The Eighth Habit hardback has a great CD in it which explores ideas.
Given your blog title and the ideas it seems to be saying I thought he may interest you.
Cheers
Celia
