Happy Thanksgiving

Wanted to say Happy Thanksgiving to everyone. We had a really super one! We stayed at home and I missed the kids BUT Jim took me to Bon Appetit for a wonderful semi romantic lunch. It was so beautiful.

We sat and watched the Gulf of Mexico as we had...gotta tell you this because it was soooo good...acorn bisque soup with corn, a marvelous salad with greens that were so tasty. The salad of course had their own dressing, pine nuts, sliced black olives and cherry tomatoes...on an iced plate. Then we chose the traditional North Carolina Turkey...like theirs turkeys are special, I guess, roasted pecan stuffing, wonderfully steamed mini beets and asparagus and THE best cranberry relish I have EVER eaten. Of course freshly made french rolls and butter, and aromatic tea. You could smell how wonderful the tea was as you were putting up to your mouth and it was crystal clear served in goblets that made it sparkle!!! Oh so good.

Then Jim had Godiva chocolate mousse with whipped cream and one of those long cookie tubes. I can never remember the name for them and if I did I couldn't spell it. I had pumpkin swirled cheesecake with whipped cream. Well, not WHIPPED cream which was my disappointment for the day. Duh. In a restaurant of that caliber you DO NOT serve what I call fake whip cream. I know it makes it easier to get the desserts all ready and set to go, but come on...are you class or not...and how long does it take to put a dollop and a swirl of whipped cream on something...AND yes, even the men waiters could handle it. Still...delicious. Had enough to bring home and had it again for lunch.

Hope you all enjoyed your holiday, too.

Just been scrapping away. Did some LO's and let everything else around here slide. Big deal. No one here but us!! LOL

Going to go and get myself put together a little. Jim is due home soon. He had to work yesterday and today. Poor guy. But he doesn't care that much to be at home. Me...I love it!!!

So Much for Friday the 13th!

Oh my golly. Let me tell you what just happened. I had a post all ready to go, with my LO and everything posted. I went to add a link and boom...the entire post was gone! And I even had it saved because I had just looked at it!! Strange.

What I had said was:

I am not a real believer in the bad omens of Friday the 13th but after today I could just maybe change my opinion! LOL

Work has been a real bear today. Two guys are out, and one of them has a big project running. It has been one problem after another, and the two of us left are doing our best to solve problems and give answers to questions that we don't really have the answers for, which means trying to find where we can GET the answers!!! Then the printer jams like I have never seen before after working with jammed printers for 18 years!! Just all kinds of out of the ordinary things going on.

Talked to Jim and he is having a frustrating day also!! BUT at least it is more that 3/4's of the way over. I hate saying that. I always think of my Aunt Middie, who I loved dearly, who always told me never to wish my life away. So I had better be thankful for this day even if it is trying my patience!! And besides, these are the days that make the other days look so good!

I have not posted lately because nothing has been going on other than getting up, going to work, coming home, and repeating that!

I have not even been scrapping. But I did do a LO the other day that I will post. Just didn't even feel like scrapping. But I am getting back in the groove.

I feel a lot intimidated by all the talent I see out there. I look and look at them trying to see how they get those great ideas but I can't seem to pull them out like I would like to do. I will keep looking. Some day it will click.

It is VIA (Starbucks instant coffee) time. SOOOOO good. I will post my LO and take a break and do some digi LO looking while I partake! Maybe I will get creativity by osmosis. Coult it be??

This is our cutie daughter. Isn't she the cutest thing ever? After ALL these years...sorry babe, couldn't resist that!!!...we STILL think she is the cutest!!! And, no...she does not still have a double chin!!!! She is very tiny now!

Hope you enjoy the day.

Beautiful for November!!

It has been a beautiful day for November! Low 80's and lots of sunshine!! Now this is better. And it should be in the low 80's all week. That is quite better from the mid to upper 90's!!!

Here it is again. Another weekend coming to an end. Oh well, I guess we all have to work in order to get paid, so it is back to the grindstone. I just got my social security report this week and the way I read it, if I work till I am 70 I will just about have enough money to come up short of what I need to make it by only about 25%. But at least there is still social security left to give me. Guess that is good in itself!!

We went out for brupper. It was so good. We both had fried chicken. It is the best you can get in the area but not like our little hometown in Ohio that is called the chicken capital of the world. But still very good. Oh...burpper...like brunch only for breakfast and supper! We really got a late start today. Makes me a happy camper. I LOVE lounging around on the weekends. DH on the other hand gets bored out of his head. But I always leave the weekends up to him...and he calls the shots...so he never says anything about it!!!

I still have not found my dog gone sweeper hose. I have looked everywhere...and I NEED it. If anyone has a clue where it is, please clue me in. It is large and won't fit just anywhere but we have looked EVERYWHERE!! argh!!!!

Did get a LO finished Friday. Photogenically it is a bad picture, but I love what the picture says so I had to scrap it. It just made me realize that life really is just a series of ages and stages. I would call this one..."bring on the glasses"!!

Going to get ready to run for some coffee. Then I hope to scrap some more, but I am not sure. Might have to put that off till tomorrow.

Everyone have a great rest of the evening.

It Is HOT!

Someone needs to tell Mother Nature that it is October, even here in Florida. I mean, really, 90 degrees in October...the END of October. Need we be running the air conditioning for Christmas???

Well, some others need to be told it is still hot, also. I just covered up DH. Walked by him and his arm felt like an ice cube. Poor guy. Keeps it cool (actually cold to him) in the house so I feel comfortable. He is such a great guy!!

Not much has been going on which is not bad! Work has been busy, Jim had to work the weekend so that made for a very short weekend. But it still was very nice.

Finally got back to scrapping. Had a real dry spell for about a week when I had no mojo at all. But it is returning, however, slowly! This is the LO I finished today.

I need to get my camera out and get clicking again. Running low on pics that I want to scrap. I think I need to go through the big box of old, old pics I have and dig some of those out. I know. It isn't as much fun when the pics are not as good of quality like the ones we have now, but those are the memories that really do need preserved. Must push myself to remember that. Maybe I need to put it on my calendar task list!!!

Going to go watch some TV. Time to watch my silly stuff like Malcolm in the Middle and George Lopez. Love stupid TV. You can just watch and don't have to follow some twisting and turning plot.

Have a great night.

Friday!!!

Friday at last!! Only not the normal Friday glee in my heart because it is DH's Saturday to work. Ah, but maybe not. One never knows until he gets back to the shop on Friday. Keeping my fingers crossed!

This has been a no scrap week. I want to but just haven't got there!!! Will probably start something today, yet! At least that is the plan. Would love to try something new. That sounds like fun!! We will see.

I have had a busy day here at work. Everything we did yesterday in the way of numbers and forms had to be redone this morning in a hurry to make closing dates! I don't understand men. Try as I will, most of them I just don't understand.

When my guy came back from the meeting yesterday where he was told they needed all this info, we started in to get it done and off to them. Sent it off. So this morning...phone calls...oh we need it done this way, these figures don't need separated, these do., need to use these special forms...on and on. Why didn't they explain all that when they had them at the meeting? Isn't that what meetings are for?? Duh!

I got it done. I hope it is right. My guy, whose project it is, is off sick today and I had no clue what all these figures were. I made a pretty fair guess and got all the right totals. It does help to be a brain!!! LOL I hate rush jobs. Too easy to make mistakes, especially when you are being interrupted with phone calls and solving all the other guys' problems!! Argh!

But on the bright side, it is bright!! Sun is shining and it is 84 out!! Really pretty clouds. I love those white clouds! It looks like we are not going to get a fall this year. Who knows, maybe not even a winter.

I said we had gone to Sea World last Saturday. Well the surprise was that Jim took me to a wonderful breakfast buffet that we used to go to. It was such a surprise. There was everything there from fruit to fried chicken, eggs, grits...just everything. It was great. And Sea World was so much fun. You have got to see the new roller coaster. They strap you in it on the underside so that you are laying down. Then you are tossed and turned every way but loose!! Really scary. Everyone was screaming the entire ride!!!

I thought I had posted my last LO but I hadn't I guess. This is of DH and I in our high school band pictures.

Well, I was just handed some work to do so I had better get a move on it.

Then I will see what pics I have that look like fun to scrap.

Have a great Friday night.

The Sun is Shining!!

The sun is shining and it is beautiful!!! It is only 79 degrees here but it looks beautiful!!! It was pretty cold for two days but it is supposed to get up to the high 80's this week. Nice. Very nice!!!

After my sister's-in-law memorial service yesterday, two of our children and their children went out to have dinner together. It was so much fun. It is not very often we can all get together like that. Middle son was missing but the commute from New York was a little long!!! We had a great time...even though the restaurant we wanted to go to had closed. Bah humbug!! It was so good and all of us have favorite dishes from there...so no one was real happy. But we ate at Carrabba's and that made me VERY happy!! Look what I had. It was chicken Marsala (the best sauce with fresh sauteed mushrooms) and
tagliarini picchi pacchiu. (That is angel hair pasta, basil, olive oil and garlic...ummm...so good!)

Doesn't that look great!! Had the leftovers for lunch today. I finally had to take my plate and wash it...the smell was so good it was driving me crazy!!! LOL

We did get to Sea World over the weekend. We haven't gotten there very much in the past couple of years. With gas prices the way they are and having that big Grande Marquis that drank gas it was way too expensive! But now that we have our new little car that gets 30 miles to the gallon, it is more reasonable. So once in a while we make the trip.

It was really a nice Saturday for that and I will blog about that later. Jim had something special planned that was really nice and I have pics to post. Forgot about them or would have posted them before this!! I guess I could say watch for upcoming attractions!!! LOL

Nothing else earth shaking has been going on. I like the peace!! And from what I hear...tomorrow should be nice here at work, also. Everyone has places to go and people to see, so I guess I will be holding down the fort! I like that. I get along well with myself! I always like to do what I suggest!!! It's fun!!

Humm. I can't believe this. Joe just brought me some work to do. He says I don't have to do it till tomorrow, but I don't like to leave things go overnight. So I am off the type!

Everyone have a good night.

Work Work Work

Just call me Terry!! All I do is work anymore!!! LOL It has been getting busy around here. Not like it used to be but busy compared to a few weeks ago.

Worked this morning, went to lunch with Jim since he had the day off and came back and worked the rest of the day. It is now 3:40 and just finished. But I finished up things that need to go on Tuesday so I won't be crunched when I come back. I am taking Monday afternoon off for my sister-in-law's memorial service, so when I get in Tuesday it could be backed up a little.

Needed to have proposals and accountant work ready to go. It is all done so that will be a big help on Tuesday.

It finally is looking like fall here. Only 84 this afternoon and only supposed to get into the 70's over the weekend. But not to worry. It should be back up next week. Ugh! At least we have a break!!! But to get the cool temps we had to have some showers today and could be some storms tonight. Hope they are not bad and wait till we get home. It floods out at the front of where we go in to our house and I hate waiting till it goes down.

Just had to add a water picture to make my day sunnier! This is a place we love to go. So peaceful and always so many pelicans! Click on it! You can see how cute they are. Unfortunately, they are not fun to feed. I have done that a couple of times. They are greedy and all come charging at you. And they grab for the fish. Problem is they have one gigantic tooth at the end of their bill that they grab with to secure what they are after. Scary!!! It can really hurt!! Quit laughing! It WAS scary!!!

Click on that baby...and you will see what I mean. That is one mean "tooth"!!!! You have a fish in your hand and see all these dog gone pelicans coming at you mouths a flapping whomp whomp...and you realize you are out numbered and and "out armed"! You soon find yourself throwing that fish as far from you as your little arm with throw!!! LOL

That is is for today. Have got to get ready to wrap up this week here at work. Don't know what that means but it sounded good, didn't it?

Have a great night.

Almost Over the Hump

Golly! Wednesday...almost over. The week started out slow but it is progressing rather quickly! It has been busier here at work and it certainly does make the time pass faster. Nothing like a day full of nothing to make one hour seem like eight! Not to mention it makes you sooooo tired!

I finished up some work that was not due till tomorrow so I will even be ahead of the game when I walk in tomorrow. But, it is accountant time so I will have to get all those reports on CD and sent. No biggy! Just glad I don't have to DEAL with the reports!

Don't know what is on the agenda for home tonight. I think I will probably scan a picture or two and start a new LO and probably organize a good bit. I also dug out an old tutorial, might have a look at that, too.

Waiting for DH to come rescue me and carry me off home!!! He is running late so I thought maybe I could get my blog done before he shows up. If not, I can always finish at home.

DS rode his bike from where he works and had lunch with me on the corner of my desk today. That is always nice. He is now riding his bike to work. 5.2 miles each way. I am a proud mama!! That is commitment!

Just got back home! Had such a good time at Starbucks tonight. I was talking with a gal that works there. She is such a joy. Her name is Cathy. A beautiful women, about my age.

We were talking about her cleaning. I said you can come to my house and do that! She said she doesn't even do it at her house! By the time she gets home she is too tired! Just like the rest of us, I guess.

But had the best idea. She said she wants to start a "cleaning club"! What a colossal idea! She said we could all meet at each others house and clean. Then the next time someone else's house, and so on. Isn't that a great idea? That way it is all done at once and you move on and all help each other. I would join.

I was also telling her I realized why God has our eyesight diminish as we get older. As you get older, you just do not have the stamina and/or the drive to clean like you used to. So, he makes our eyes so we really don't see all that itsy bitsy dirt that used to drive us crazy!!! Makes perfect sense to me!!!

OK. I need to wind down. I am hyper and could really blog on but I will save some words for next time. But I won't close without posting my just finished LO! Don't forget you can click on the images to make them bigger.

This is a LO of my dear Dad! I found these pics along with the badge where he worked. I don't think he ever worked anywhere else. He was a wonderful dad and grandpa. I miss him.

Moving on now. Hope you all have a great night. Enjoy time with your family and do something fun...like scrap!!!

Tuesday Morning

It is Tuesday. I decided I need to start appreciating every day of the week, just not Saturday and Sunday. Think it possible? But like friend Terry said, Tuesday is just another Monday. They are all the same!!! I am going to turn over a new leaf and love every day like I love my Saturdays and Sundays!!! Might be a mind game but I can do it!!!

Still early, but I am at work with everything caught up even before we open. I like it that way. I am not one to start behind the eight ball. I would rather work later than to walk in with stuff on my plate already.

Thinking about that cup of coffee already. Jim made me some at home as usual but I always make a french pressed of Starbucks about 8:30. Umm. I am so ready. That signals my body...yep...time to get started!!!

Started on a LO last night. One of my dad. Can't quite decide on the color I want to use. They are black and white pictures and one of a badge he used when he first started work which is not really a white white like the rest. I will finally decide on something, just takes me a long time. Something about being anal!!!

I am such a morning person. Love to look out my window here and see the sun start to rise and cast such pretty shadows in the parking lot. The day is new. No one has messed it up yet! People smile and don't growl! Everyone busy going by in their cars with their own agendas.

I always wonder what people are thinking as they drive by. Are they mulling over the past day or night at home? Did they already have a bad moment at home, setting the tone for their whole day? Are they already planning the day ahead? Are moms thinking about the schedule after work, picking up kids, ballgames, dinner? I love that. OH NO!!! Hope that isn't analyzing! I don't think that falls into that!!! It is just something I do that makes me feel good in the morning while waiting for the troops to arrive!

Oh, I just thought of something funny. There is a restaurant on the beach in Pass-a-Grill that plays music every night at sunset. Everyone stops and watches the sunset at the beach. It is so beautiful that a hush can actually be heard. Then after it is over, there is an announcement that the sunset has been brought to you by the Hurricane Restaurant!!! It is so cute!!! The first time you hear it, it cracks you up. We need to go down there again. Have not heard that in a long time!!

Well, I need to get going. Past time to unlock the door. Not that anyone will be in. We do contract work and basically only appointments if someone is coming in, but always nice to be open anyway!!!

I am posting a picture of my new frog!!! I have picked up on F.R.O.G. and now love my frogs. (That stands for Fully Relying On God!) The girl that makes sculptures out of copper wire made this for me and I love, love, love it! It sits on my desk at the corner of my monitor. Never out of sight. Isn't it cute?

I love watching her do these. She just takes some wire and starts. She says she really doesn't know where she is starting. Just starts and goes from there.

Work is calling already. Guess I need to go!

Enjoy your day!!!

Will Continue To Have Mondays

I don't remember where I read it last week, but I read we will continue to have Mondays until we stop complaining about them!! Oh. Just remembered. Don on Memory Makers forum had posted that!! I think it is really cute!!!

But here I am at work again!!! I want to retire...but not really. I guess I would like to work only when I feel like it!! Would that work? At least...not on Mondays!!

Still so crappy hot here. In the 90's till Saturday and Sunday and then a cool down. High Sunday 78!! What a break. I don't know if it is planning to stay around or not, but I vote for it. Not cold, but I would like in the lower 80's. That is really nice!!

Had a very quiet weekend. Played with the computer as usual and tried to learn a new skill in Photoshop. Darling daughter (my computer guru if you have forgotten) whipped quickly through something because I was about ready to leave the house, and of course I only remembered a couple things when I got back. Darling husband said, "See, I told you to write it down!!" Well what I told him is that she wasn't actually going step by step just trying to show me what I could do with a situation.

After talking to her this morning, I remembered most of it, but, as usual, I just forgot the important thing!! Think I have it now. We will see. It is so nice to have her handy to bail me out!!! This girl is a whiz at this computer stuff!!!

Happy to report, no sign of bees!! Checked that out first thing when I walked in!! Whew! I don't especially like being dive bombed by bees!!! I don't move that good anymore...well...ever for that matter!!!

I can't close without a word about Starbucks! Have to put in a plug for my favorite!!! If you have not tried their instant coffee, VIA, you need to do that! I actually like it better that their regular brewed coffee. Only as of yet, they don't have decaf!! It is coming out, though. The after taste is just like coffee smells. And I haven't tried it, but they say it is fantastic sprinkled on things like ice cream...I have heard on ice cream sandwiches it is great!!!

OK. Work is beckoning me. I don't know if I should feel important or if they are just lazy and want me to do it for them!! Two sides to every coin, you know!

Off to do whatever it is that they feel is more important than finishing this blog!! There is no accounting for being able to prioritize!!!

Have and great day and enjoy it!

I Am Back

Well, here I am. I don't even know if I know how to get this blog up online anymore!! I really had thought about closing my blog down but I gave myself enough time and realized I really did like blogging. Keep at me, I don't want to get out of the habit of posting. That was part of my problem. I do like to blog, but after I missed a couple of days I got depressed because of that and then just kept putting it off.

I hope to turn over a new leaf and at least drop a short note everyday.

Not much has been going on in my life. That is OK. I like it that way. As I have gotten older I certainly have gotten to enjoy the passive nature that my life has taken. It gives me time. I don't know, yet, what I do to pass all the time I have, but, I must do something with it because I never have the time to do things. And I really don't want to think about what I do with all the time.

It has, in the past week, been brought to my attention, by some well meaning friends and family, that I analyze everything too much. Hum. Maybe that is what I do with all my time! That's a thought. So, after being hit by this by many people this week, it seemed like too much of a coincidence, that...after analyzing it!!!...I decided I needed to stop analyzing everything. At least I will try. So, maybe I will have more time now. We will see.

One thing did happen this week at work. We were invaded by bees. We had our bug guy come out and he sprayed powder where they were at above the office. As it seems, it did rid them out of the office only to go and sit outside the office waiting for the workers to go find a new place to call home. In the mean time, one of the guys there...might I add...an ex marine...decide to get a plastic bag, get on a ladder, trap them and pull them down!! (I found out later, that that is what they do to get rid of them!!! Can you believe???)

Hum, as he went for them, he touched them a little too much and they took after him. He down off the ladder and ran...get this...back into the office with bees clinging to him. Now they are no longer above the office but IN the office...MY OFFICE!!! He shook them off and...are you listening...went and got the jet vac and swept them up as they flew by.

Check out the pics I took. Not good ones, but you will get the idea!!! Ah yes, to know our country is being protected by Marines gives me such peace. Now, now... I promised not to analyze!!!!

BTW this pic is my retired boss' office, not mine. I was standing in mine to take this pic!! You can see the nest hanging from the tree!! Ugh!! I took the pics through the window. I knew if those bees went swarming, I would try to run, and fall and I would be their NEW place to call home! But I am glad he was around. Saved us a lot of money...minimum $350...and he took care of the problem!! Just glad he didn't get stung!! They said at that point they should have been pretty passive and they were!

Oh, forgot, I finished a new LO. Boy. This one is sure different for me, but I love doing things out of my norm.

It feels real good to be posting again. I guess I have missed it more than I thought.

I will be seeing you around. Need to get busy and do something creative for today.

Have a great Saturday. Remember the weekends are for R & R. Just do it; and as always...

Enjoy

You don't have to be certified

to be crazy! I just know I am. I have been trying very hard, as you know, to get my digi organizing done. This past week I have made great strides. But...

Hold the presses. News flash! Having done the first lesson in Jessica Sprague's photo editing class she recommends Picasa. It is a computer based organizing (both photos AND digi materials) and editing software, FREE and says it is great! Then to top it off, just by chance I am sure, lol, she is having a class on it. And this week which is her birthday week, it is 20% off. So you guessed it. I am going to switch. Well, not necessarily, but take the class and see what is up.

I got bitten badly by Kodak Gallery when they botched about 20% of my pics I had loaded with them and then also said I had to spend at least $5.00 a year to keep from having MY photos deleted.

Now I realize $5 is a minimal amount. But the point is that I started with them because it was FREE! I can see starting from this point on with new customers having a fee, but the others should be able to continue as agreed. And yes, even though I haven't looked, because I really don't care, I am sure that they covered that in the terms of agreement. Terms could be changed at any time deemed necessary. But I am over it. Then I started using Shutterfly. Like it but realized I don't want to depend on an online service any longer.

So this Picasa seems like a good thing at least at this point.

This week has not gotten any better. I started off on Monday not wanting to be at work and it hasn't gone away. I just have no interest in it this week. I am so into playing right now!

It is after 5 and Jim just called and said he has two more houses to do and then will be done and start on his way home...which consists of filling his tank and going to the shop and then to me. So I will have a little wait but there is always something to do when I have my external hard drives with me!!! Finally, I get to play!

A bit cooler today. Only 101 heat index. It is only 90 actual now and the humidity is down to about 56%. Much nicer!!

I finished this LO of Zoe today. It was fun because it kept a smile on my face. She is such a sweet dog. I have never seen a dog love food like her. She salivates so badly it just runs out of her mouth and onto the floor...or your leg if you are the lucky one of the day! Yuk! What a scarfer!

I have written too much. I need to go. I will upload the LO and then I am out of here. Hope you all have a great night and do save some YOU time. Everyone needs R&R everyday to stay healthy! My rule...and you need to keep my rules!!

Ho Hum....

It is now only fifteen till two and Buck and I are the only ones left at work and all our work is done and it is boring!!! I really rather have a bundle of work to do than to have nothing to do. I would love to go home but that is not going to happen, so I guess I will blog to all of you!

It has been three days of record heat for us. 96 degrees for three days! That makes the heat index at 105 so that is not pleasant. 96 is about as hot as we get here even in the dead of summer. But with the humidity, that is quite enough. So it is really high temps for this early.

What I don't like is the heating of the water. When that water warms up the hurricanes fly!! That I hate! So we will see what the season brings.

Nothing much has gone on this week. That is OK. I like quiet weeks. Oh, I did get to meet Heather and Mike last weekend at Starbucks. Heather is my cyber friend from Designer Digitals. What a great time we had, only as always, time was too short. Heather and Mike are so much fun!!

I laughed when we got to Starbucks. They were going to have a convertible car...ugh...you can tell they are not Floridians...we try to stay in air conditioning in the summer. So when we got there, there happened to be a convertible in the parking lot. I said oh they are already here!

So we went inside...no Heather. So we ordered a coffee and tea and sat down at a window seat.

I was watching outside and low and behold here comes this convertible moving on down in the parking lot...and I kid you not...Heather was hanging out of the car with her big ole camera shooting pics as they drove in!! LOL It was hilarious. I'm yelling, they're here! They're here! People must have thought I was crazy, too! As I look out the window, there is Heather waving like crazy at me! I am sure we made a pair!!! LOL Our poor husbands. But we all had a great time.

It is just so much fun to meet the people you have corresponded with for so long. It is like you have known each other forever!

Well, with nothing else pressing to report...I will leave it at that. Here is the LO I did of our Designer Digitals meet-up!! Not real sold on this one. I just feel something is missing. Maybe it will hit me what it is. I like it...just feel it needs something yet.

I am off till next time. Everyone have a great weekend!

Where Do The Weekends Go??

The weekends just run by. I guess it is because we are all doing what we really love to do and get to spend time with the ones important to us. Ah, I guess it gives us reason to look forward to getting through our work week!

I am going to meet with Heather today off the Designer Digitals forum. I was going to go meet with several others, too, but decided that the tour they were taking would really not be easy for me. The distance they would walk would be too far with my muscle stuff so I passed on that. But Heather, Mike and us are meeting in the late afternoon before they go to the airport at...where else...Starbucks...so we can at least meet! That will be great!

I have so much to do now. I wanted to get some cleaning done but I doubt it is going to happen. We were out yesterday just riding around so it didn't get done then, thought I would have today, but spent more time than I thought on my LO and want to run for a while this afternoon and then meet Heather...so I guess it will still be waiting for me later! Never fear, it never goes away by itself.

I wonder if I could hire someone to organize my scrap stuff! I am having so much fun right now scrapping I just do not want to organize my stash. However, it takes most of my time rummaging through folders to find what I want that it would be to my benefit to just stop and do it. I could of course do what I had said and work an hour or so each day...but what would I have to complain about. I need to keep my complaint abilities in tack! Don't us it...lose it!!!

I had better cut it short. I need to get on with the morning. I could just go on today for some reason but I will practice constraint! Lucky for you!

Here is the LO I just finished. I really like this one, myself. You know me an my giraffes...and I get to showcase my bud, too! Double fun!

Terry took this pic while she was in Orlando. We had seen this together, but I didn't take a pic because there were so many people there having their pictures taken with this beauty.

So one night when she went to Universal City to pick up some eats, she waited and waited patiently in the Florida heat till no one was there so she could get this great pic for her friend. Believe me...no easy task...must have taken forever...and in the Florida heat? This is a real friend I tell ya! I love it!!!

Good Morning!!!

It just turned tomorrow!!! I love late at night anymore. I just seem to work better then. But it is making me tired but yet it is so much fun. Terry really gave me a really big addiction!!!

Had a very easy day at work. Was done with most of everything by noon thirty. So I had lots of time to play around and check out the forum!

I just finished this LO. Got it up on the gallery and wanted to post since it has been a day or two. I am really trying to turn over a new leaf and get in here at least every other day. I would like to chat every day so I need to keep at myself!
These are the pics of Brian S scuba diving in the Bahamas. They actually threw chunks of raw meat out to get the sharks to gather around them. Not me thank you very much. But being the adrenalin junkie of the family he loved it.

Well I need to go wrap up some loose ends. I will be back tomorrow. Have a good night!

Oh My Golly!

I finally met my wonderful friend in person! She is just as wonderful in person as on the phone...can you imagine??

We had a wonderful time. And a double blessing...got to meet our friend Linda from Orlando, too! It was the best time!!!

Poor Jim. At one time at lunch I looked at him and he was just sitting there looking at the three of us going on and on!! He told me after he was having a great time. He had never had the opportunity to see women in action before!! LOL

He had always said he couldn't stand to watch the View on TV because they never gave each other a time to talk. I tried to tell him that is how we women talk. We wait with baited breath for the other person to take a breath. That is our cue it is our turn to talk!! Whoever has the best timing and can get in...gets to go next. LOL LOL!! Not really that bad but really...sort of!

But the three of us did go on and on...about scrapping of course and had a wonderful time. The only problem was that it was over too soon!!

I will tell you all later about Terry and I finding each other in the very large hotel lobby. We were crazy man. If we had had more time I am sure we would have gotten very crazy!!!

I just finished a LO. Linda already saw it online and made the comment I used a template!! She and Terry both laid down the law and said I have to use templates. It is the only way to survive!! So I tried it and I guess it is easier!

This is a picture of DS Brian scuba diving in the Bahamas...all while dodging the hurricane last year. He wants them paper scrapped. I have only one done. Decided I had to do them digi for me. If he wants he can have a copy...but I just had to do it!!! LOL

So being it is getting late...here is the LO. I am going to wind up and get some sleep tonight. I am tired from the weekend let down and know that means rest some.

Still feels awkward to use a template but I am sure it will get easier!

Have a good sleep...all of you already snoring it off and the rest of us...get to bed!!!

Same Time Same Station!!!

Here I am again. It is 1:06 A.M.!!! I am a real sicko!! But an addiction is an addiction no matter what it is.

It is raining here and thundering! Not bad. Just a light storm so far. Lightening is good for the plants though. Did you know there has to be lightening to make things green. Something about the atmosphere. My "lawn guy" told me!! LOL Rain keeps things alive...lightening keeps them green. Humm.

I really am not that tired tonight. I have passed that "I think I am falling asleep"stage!! But I need to finish up and head off. Have a lot to do tomorrow and up early Sunday to go meet my best friend for the first time! Cool beans!

OK Did another LO. Once I get rolling you can't stop me I guess. This is different than most of mine. Still fooling around with different things to see where my real place is. I don't know...maybe I don't really have "a" place. But here is my offering for today.

I got to looking at this picture and thought how precious to see someone that is seeing this world for the first time. Sort of awesome.

Hope to organize tomorrow. Way behind. Didn't meet my date goal but that is OK. I will work on it till I get done.

Chat with you tomorrow.

OK OK I don't always do

what I say I am going to do. I said these late nights have to stop...but here I am. It is almost tomorrow already and I still have stuff to do. And I need to rest if I am going to party hardy with Terry Sunday. That lady goes all the time and I will need my strength!!!

But I was late getting home and had started this LO of Russ' dog Cooper and I hate not to finish. So I just kept going and here I am tired again!

So this is short again but at least I got this done. I told you I was going to blog more and do more LO's. At least I am getting that accomplished!

So that is it. Now I am going to wrap things up and toddle off. I suppose all of you are snoring it away. Sounds really good. I'm off.

These late nights

have got to stop!! I am tired again but wanted to finish this LO before I called it quits!

I have so many things in the works and not enough time to do them.

I am trying to take the photo class I bought three months ago. Moving stuff on my computer, organizing, and want to set up Picasa for my pics on my computer...and I still want to scrap. Well, I will get them all done eventually!!!

It was so slow at work today at least I got some time there today to catch up. I had wanted to back up my ACDSee tonight but don't want to let it run while I sleep so that will have to wait till tomorrow.

Oh guess what? I about had a kitten tonight. I came home and put in my flash drive like I always do...and...let go of it and it fell apart!!! I remained calm and collected as always!!! Really...I did. Jim was mowing the lawn. First I checked to make sure it was still working. No problem. So I picked the pieces up and took it out of the hard drive and worked for a half an hour and got the cover back on and it is working! Going to put tape around it. I don't store much on it...thank goodness.

OK. Here is the LO. Hang on while I find it!!! LOL

OK. Have a great night. Well, I guess have a great day! Just saw the time!!!

Up and At 'Em!!

OK. New day! Not a very pretty one here, though. Dreary!! But that is OK. A dreary day now and then won't hurt us Floridians. We just can't have many in a row before we start growling at each other!!

One guy is off today so it looks like it will be a pretty slow day for me. He is the one that gives me the barrel load of work each day. Not much else happening here besides that. Slow week in general.

The neighbors around us in the strip mall here are slow, too. They have already been here to swipe a cup of coffee and chat. Humm....wonder what I can do to keep busy today???

Well, I don't know but I could guess! I just finished the LO I was working on yesterday. Still playing around with styles although I do feel I am finding the style I feel best with. But until I have played around, I don't want to settle on a style. I guess you don't even have to have your own style!

So I will post my LO and then I am going to check around here and make sure everything is caught up.

This is Joe's best friend Eddie's wife on her first Mother's Day.

Guess I will go and harass someone now. Either that or fall asleep!! More fun to harass!

Later

Ouch!

I am so sore. This wooden chair has got to go. Want to get off of it so much but wanted to say hey before I stop for the day.

I have a LO almost done but to be honest, I can't sit in this chair any longer; and I feel there is just something missing yet, so I am going to put it to rest tonight and finish it in the morning.

Eddie, Joe's friend, sent me some more pics of his new daughter. He is coming in Friday so I thought I probably should get a couple done for them. They don't have Internet in Alabama where they live. They said they live in the country. It takes an hour and a half to get to work. They both have to drive separate cars so three hours a day times two...the gas is killing them. They are moving back here. Unfortunately she will have to take the Florida bars and she just passed the Alabama bars. Her parents just moved here full time and with the cost of travel...they are coming here for good.

I don't have any Rocky Road ice cream but I do have some rainbow sherbet. I also have a coupon for Starbucks ice cream, but we never have more than one kind at a time. AND Jim of course won't eat the Starbucks. Can't stand any kind of cold coffee taste. Guess I will have to eat it all. Just what I need of course.

I think that is about all I am going to say for now. Other parts of me are starting to shut down, too.

Wake with a smile.

Later taters.

It's Late and I'm Tired!!

But I did want to get this post out before tomorrow. I am trying to blog more and if I skip it is a good way for me to let it go longer!!!

I certainly am not ready to go back to work tomorrow after a four day break. I need to retire but let's not even go there!!! But if I look on the bright side, only three days till the weekend. So I guess I can struggle through it!!!

I have had a marathon of scrapping which has made me happy and my tush very unhappy. I am going to have to get a regular desk chair for this desk. I am getting a new chair at work, I guess I will bring the old one here. It has a worn out arm on the right side where I kept hitting my desk but I can live with that, too, if it eases my "understanding"!!!

So I am going to post my LO and toddle off to bed. Hope you like it. I had some good laughs doing this one!!

Alrightie then. That is it for me today. Hope to blog again tomorrow. Talk then.

I just realized this is very small on here. These are all pictures of restrooms!! If you want to see a bigger one, click on the credits.

This Has Been Good!!!

These two days off have been so good. We really have done nothing. Well, special. No schedule. Just those things like 'hey let's go such and such'. Umm. It has been sooo nice. I think we both needed plain old down time.

It is 3:02 in the afternoon and I just finished drying my hair from my shower. We said we are both getting hungry so I guess some food is next on the agenda. Don't know what or where...but food.

The shuttle is down. Glad to hear that. They had to land in California due to weather on the Florida coast...so that will cost us about 2 million. Can you believe it costs that much to get the shuttle back here? Incredible.

More rain due for us. 50% today and tomorrow and 40% all next week. I said to Jim it is time for us to stop praying for rain. I think God got our message!!

I have to get dressed yet so I am going to go. First, my Florida picture. Let me go find one. OK. Got one. This is on the Pier 60 looking away of course from the "O"sh. We were about one third of the way up the pier. They fish at the very end. You can go clear out where they fish but it costs woo wee $.50 I think. Don't go there much because you can get hooked by a fish hook!! I think you can still feed fish to the pelicans, too. That is not wise, though. They are aggressive and if you are not careful...they hook the front tooth on you. Something the tourists don't think about!!! Still a fun place. They have what they call Sunsets at Pier 60 where vendors...craft type...and musicians and so on line up on the pier and it is really pretty. I will try to get some pics of that. Hum. As I think about it...sounds like a good thing to do this weekend.

An of course I finished a LO. Terry, please don't have apoplexy. I know I am breaking a record here!!!

Hungry. I'm out of here for now!! Have a great afternoon and evening.
